Dr. Maciej R. Uzieblo holds board certifications in both vascular and general surgery from the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Uzieblo is an Attending Vascular Surgeon at William Beaumont Health System and an Assistant Professor of Surgery on the faculty of Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine where he is involved in teaching vascular surgery to residents and fellows.  Dr. Uzieblo is also a certified Hyperbaric Physician, a Registered Vascular Technologist and RPVI.

Dr. Uzieblo maintains a comprehensive approach to the vascular practice, with a specific focus on minimally invasive lower extremity salvage including wound care, hyperbaric oxygen (HBO), skin grafting and other advanced wound care treatments. He takes interest in minimally invasive aortic aneurysm repair and venous disorders, including varicose veins and blood clots.  Dr. Uzieblo performs advanced deep venous reconstructions for complications of blood clots and inferior vena cava filters (IVCF) placement.

Dr. Uzieblo graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wayne State University undergraduate program with a degree in Psychology before enrolling in Wayne State Medical School where he earned a Doctor of Medicine degree upon graduating With High Distinction and membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Following medical school graduation, he completed his Surgical Residency at William Beaumont Hospital and his Clinical Vascular and Endovascular Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Before moving back to Michigan, he was a Clinical Instructor in Surgery who taught vascular surgery to residents at Washington University in St. Louis.  Along with a busy private practice, he participated at Detroit Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the vascular surgery program.

Dr. Uzieblo is actively involved in medical research and has presented work at more than 18 local and national medical conferences. He’s authored or co-authored several research studies in prestigious medical journals, including The American Surgeon and the Journal of Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Uzieblo is fluent in the Polish language.
